About the event
The 2 hours Meditation Yoga class is a beginners and intermediate class/workshop for people who want to explore the Indian classical practice of physical yoga combined with breathwork ( pranayama ) and Buddhist Vipassana meditation.
The class starts with gentle warm exercises, followed by sun salutations, core exercises and standing postures ( about 12 of them ) before getting the participants into Breath Yoga to calm the mind down and balance the right and left hemispheres of the brain. This finally leads into the Buddhist Meditation that grounds and centers the participants into a state of inner calm and peace.Â
The class may last from 120 minutes 135 minutes.
The yoga is classical Hatha Yoga practice with slow and precise poses that lead into greater awareness of the self and helps participants breathe deeply. The breathwork centers and calms the mind while the Buddhist meditation leads to healing the mind and the body and bringing it into a deep state of peace and inner calm.
